A Journey Through the Self-Awareness - Enhancing Life Skills Workshop by Persatuan Minda D'Home.

On 5th July 2024, 21 employees of Sophic Automation (Eta- Setia Spice Convention branch) gathered for a half day workshop , led by a renowned facilitator Ms Chueng Kwan Leng and 4 others co-facilitators from Persatuan Minda D'Home. It was a much-anticipated event, designed to foster personal growth, emotional intelligence and mindfulness.

The workshop began with Jazzercise and light yoga to help participants feel more relaxed, creating a calm and open environment conducive to learning and interaction. Ms Chueng introduced the group to the importance of Emotional Intelligence and the concept of recognizing and managing their emotions . She explained how understanding one's thoughts, emotions, and behaviors could lead to better relationships, enhanced well-being, and improved professional performance.

All participants took part in the DASS (Depression, Anxiety, and Stress Scares) assessment. This self-reflection is essential for recognizing areas of concern and enhancing greater emotional intelligence. Through role-playing and group discussions, participants practiced identifying their feelings and understanding the underlying triggers. Brain Gym and laughter yoga were also introduced in this workshop.

Over the self-discovery session , we explored who we are, what drives us, and how we can better align our actions with our values.

As the workshop concluded, participants carried with them a deeper understanding of themselves, opened their eyes to their inner worlds and a renewed sense of purpose.
