Sophic Automation (or Sophic MSC) is one of the 20 deep-tech Malaysian start-ups, that were chosen to participate in PETRONAS FutureTech 2.0.

There are a total of 20 Malaysian start-ups selected for their innovations to potentially solve challenges and uncover opportunities in Industry 4.0, Specialty Chemicals and Advanced Materials, Future of Energy, Digital Transformation and Retail Innovation.

PETRONAS FutureTech 2.0 is an intensive technology accelerator program led by the national energy company in collaboration with Telekom Malaysia Bhd (TM), Sime Darby Plantation Bhd (SDP), and global venture capital firm 500 Start-ups. It was launched for the first time in 2019. It is a program that aims to discover and nurture home-grown technology entrepreneurs and scale them up to global standards, as well as build and influence the tech-driven start-up ecosystem in Malaysia. 

Sophic Automation, represented by Sophic MSC, was selected from close to 400 applications and has become one of the 20 start-ups that represent some of the best deep technology innovators that Malaysia has to offer to join this program. 

Starting on August 30, 2021, we have taken part in a 12-week virtual program that includes masterclasses, workshops, and coaching from the 500 Startups' global network of mentors, as well as experts from PETRONAS, TM, and SDP. At the end of the 12-week program, Sophic MSC successfully presented in front of potential investors and industry stakeholders on Demo Day.

We are truly grateful for the given opportunity and will continue striving for our aim, which is to be a global specialist in enabling the concept of SMARTer into factories and cities worldwide by delivering automation and integrated Industrial Internet of Things solutions.
